Communication as we all know is the most important part of our life and how we communicate makes all the difference. From history books we can take examples of how communication is essential, we can take examples from Shakespearean novels on how communication is important. Old Indian wisdom says that spreading knowledge will help you remember it more. Helping others with something helps you feel good about yourself. Blogs have a great feature called as comments. Comments are the most important part of a blog as it keeps discussions going on. People talk with you, its a good time pass for you too. People come and comment for various reasons. If you are famous, comments are made to get in touch with you or to know you better. If you ask a question, it will be answered. Comments can also correct errors that you have made. If you spark a engaging discussion by saying something very controversial, people come and comment on that, putting forward their opinions. The writer should make a point to engage people in the conversation. A interesting blog post always gets lots of attention. People comment, even lazy ones, when the blog post is interesting. Touching their emotions is all that matters. If you are able to make them happy, angry, sad then your blog will become popular. Its all about the emotions… Entire World runs of emotions of human beings… Its up to you, can you touch the emotions of people? Some bloggers are a bit forward and touch another emotional part of their users by posting spicy hot images, whatever works I guess. Comments you get depend on the type of emotions you spark.

To communicate with the world

You can do this on IRC and Yahoo messenger chat rooms, but it won’t take much time for them to boot you if you write a 600 word post there. To make a point to the world, blogs are the best. In my blog, I am the leader, read and comment. In your blog, you are the leader. As the free country gives freedom of speech, do whatever you want. People who share common ideas will come to you. As far as I know, if you have patience and go on making good blog posts, people will find you. Keep posting long and interesting blog posts, the length is very important. Blog posts have to be real long. Its my principle, that blog posts have to be really, really long, people come to read long articles, short stints are a No No. Even if it takes a while, write long blog posts, the longer the better. I stick to the six hundred word mark if I have to make a point, the six hundred word idea has worked out well, there are many bloggers who have used this six hundred word method, the six hundred word blog post method is good only for blogs. Did you notice something? I hope you noticed it, you need to have a good observational skill to notice it, I am using a technique called parroting to make my point. Write your point in different ways, in many other ways, in so many ways that it sticks on to the mind of the reader.

Join the league of superstars

Ever noticed that celebs write blogs. If they do, then so should you. When celebs are writing blogs, you should write them too. Celebs write it to stay in touch with fans, you write it to make new fans. Small difference. There are so many blog celebs, I can name a few blog celebs myself. People have reached fame by writing blogs, non-existent people are not getting jobs on commercials and to endorse products. Write a blog and you will one day too, maybe, depends on the number of fans you make.

To make money?

Ok, this can sound a bit sarcastic. I blog to engage readers, I blog so that people can read my opinion, I blog so that people can understand what I am thinking, although there are bloggers who mainly intend to make money. My ethics allow me to blog to communicate, but it can be a profession too. I am a wanna be engineer, I blog to share ideas. There are professional bloggers, many of them doing very well, some millionaires too (wow!). Yup, there are people who milk blogs too.
